Kalafatis in Mykonos is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, where the golden sand and the clear blue waters create an idyllic landscape.
Divounia Mykonos is a lovely fishing settlement. The small beach is found next to a picturesque hamlet and is among the most secluded places in Mykonos. In fact, it separates Kalafatis beach from Agia Anna beach. The small beach boasts a few pebbles and deep blue waters. The village has lovely whitewashed houses overlooking the sea. The prehistoric remains that lie in the area date back to the Roman period.
Kalo Livadi in Mykonos is one of the longest beaches and is known for its facilities and parties.
Ano Mera in Mykonos is the second bigger village after Chora (main town) and is one of the oldest villages of the island. You will take a walk in the central square of the village where traditional taverns are located.
Mykonos Panagia Tourliani The monastery of Panagia Tourliani in Mykonos is situated in Ano Mera village. The construction was established in 1542 by two priests and named after the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The monastery was restored in 1767 and owes its present name to an icon of the Virgin Mary found in the nearby area of Tourlos. Since then, Panagia Tourliani is the tutelary of the island and celebrates on August 15th.
Agios Sostis in Mykonos is among the quietest beaches on the island due to its location, a bit far from the noisy southern beaches of Mykonos. It is an unspoiled area without any amenities, a characteristic that makes visitors feel totally free.
“Armenistis” The Lighthouse. The lighthouse was built in 1891. The height of the tower is 19 meters and the focal height is 184 meters. The mechanism of the original lamp Armenistis was construction SAUTER LEMONIER, awarded by the International Exhibition of Paris and worked at the top of the lighthouse until 1983. Since then exhibited in the courtyard of the Sea Maritime Museum, housed in a traditional Cycladic building of the 19th century, at the Mykonos Town, in Tria Pigadia. The construction of the lighthouse Armenistis decided after the sinking of the English steamer VOLTA 1887 on the north coast of Mykonos where drowned the 11 crew members. The lighthouse located in the place Fanari a hill formerly called Vourvoulakas, which means Vampire.
Agios Stefanos in Mykonos lies on the west side of Mykonos, near the New Port. You can observe the huge cruise ships in the port up close.
